As I explained when I first bought this battery, the weakest link in my boat gear has always been the trolling motor battery. Because I have to recharge them so often, standard batteries are always wimped out by the end of a season. Which means buying new battery each spring.
This spring I'm entering an unprecedented fourth year with the same 12 volt Thermoil battery. As an outdoor writer and guide I fish from March into November, I'm on the water four to six days a week, and I recharge my battery after each fishing trip. That's a lot of recharging. The Thermoil battery has suffered the same abuse and neglect as it's predecessors -- low water levels twice, uncharged "sit" time longer than a week at one point and constant several-times-a-week recharging for three years -- yet like that pink bunny with the drum, it keeps on going.
I know that eventually I'll have to replace that battery, but I can guarantee that it's replacement won't be anything but a battery protected by Thermoil. Thanks again for beefing up my weakest link.
Sincerely,Jim Luce
